Prima Linea

Artiste professionnelle depuis 1986, Isabelle a dirigé l'académie de beaux-arts Prima Linea pendant 15 ans à Paris, tout en menant parallèlement une carrière artistique internationale (expositions en France, aux Etats-Unis et au Canada).

Isabelle peint la vie : le corps humain, la vie végétale et minérale, à travers le paysage. Longtemps elle a refusé la Figuration car cela lui semblait banal : après  la peinture académique, elle ressentait le besoin de passer à autre chose, une fois seule en atelier.


Elle a lâché l'art Fantastique et a finalement décidé de peindre ce qui, finalement, est le plus difficile : le monde qui nous entoure. Après avoir emprunté le pseudo "Karoll" durant sa période Fantastique, Isabelle Frot est aujourd'hui résolument tournée vers la Figuration libre et signe sous sa véritable identité.

Actuellement, Isabelle fait une recherche personnelle sur la pensée dans la peinture, d'un point de vue philosophique. Son credo : un coup de pinceau, un souffle.

Prima Linea

Being a professional artist since 1986, Isabelle has directed the Fine Arts academy Prima Linea during 15 years in Paris, while conducting an international artistic career in parallel (exhibitions in France, in the United States and in Canada).

Isabelle paints life:the human body, the vegetal and mineral life, through landscape.  She refused Figuration for a long time, because it seemed banal to her:after academic painting, she felt the need of something else once alone in studio.


She left Fantastic art and finally decided to paint what is, finally, the most difficult:the surrounding world.  After having used the pseudonym "Karoll" during her Fantastic period, Isabelle Frot is nowadays resolutely turned towards Free figuration and signs under her real identity.

Isabelle is presently doing a personal research on the thought in painting, on a philosophical point of view.  Her credo:a brushstroke, a breath.
